Tiny, green leaves start to make their appearance while the flowers are fully in bloom. This was taken on April 4.
You have to look closely to see the leaves coming on at this stage.
A Bing cherry tree with its snowy white blossoms now provides the background for the elegant pink blossoms on April 19th
By May 1st, below, the tree is covered in green leaves with only a few pink blossoms left. Look closely to find them.
The leaves will continue to grow larger and mature. The blossoms will all be gone in a few days.
The next report will show the tree in her summer clothes of green. I will try to dig up some technical
information for the June report.
I specially like the photo of the pink magnolia in front of the white apple blossom.
